HTML files only: the browser window width used to render the page. 1280 px is a typical laptop; 390 px shows the mobile layout.
85 keeps text sharp at a moderate size. Lower values make smaller files but blur small print.

Why make an image of a web page
An image of a page travels where HTML cannot. You can drop it into a slide, attach it to a bug report, add it to a portfolio, post it in a chat or keep it as a record of how a page looked on a given day. The receiver needs no browser, no internet connection and no access to the original server, and the page looks the same for everyone.
This is useful for designers presenting a layout, developers documenting a change, marketers keeping copies of landing pages and email templates, and anyone who needs proof of what a page said. Because the image is drawn from a file you upload, it also works for pages that are not online yet, such as a template on your own computer.
An image is also a fair way to share a page without sharing its code. Clients and colleagues see the design but not the scripts, tracking tags or internal comments inside the HTML, and nothing in the picture can be clicked by accident. When the page contains private data, such as an order confirmation, crop or blur it in an editor before you send the image on.
HTML
HTML page
HyperText Markup Language, created by Tim Berners-Lee and now maintained as a living standard by WHATWG. An HTML file describes a web page's text, links and structure, with images and styles usually stored separately. Any browser opens it, and it can also serve as an email template or a saved copy of a page.

JPG
JPG photo
The photo format standardized by the JPEG committee in the early 1990s and still the safest way to share a picture. It stores one still image with lossy compression and has no transparent areas. Phones, cameras, office software, printers and web forms all read it.

- No transparency
- Still images only
Why convertThis direction freezes a live, scrollable document into a fixed picture: the layout can no longer reflow, links stop working and text cannot be selected, but the page looks identical on every screen and fits anywhere an image fits. For a document with selectable text and pages instead, use the Convert to PDF tool.
Choosing the page width
1280 px
the default page width, a common desktop browser size.
Change it under HTML page width from 320 to 3840 pixels. Responsive pages switch layouts at their own breakpoints.
Modern pages are responsive: the same HTML shows a wide desktop layout or a narrow mobile one depending on the width of the window. The converter draws the page in a virtual window of the width you set, so that number decides which layout you get. 1280 pixels gives a typical desktop view. Around 390 pixels gives a phone layout, and 768 pixels a tablet layout on many sites.
Height is not fixed. With One long image, the window grows until the whole page fits, so a long article becomes a long, narrow picture. Choose One per page to cut it into page-sized images, which is better for printing or for sharing a page step by step.
One long image or separate pages
Both layouts have a place. The comparison below helps decide which one fits the job.
For a page that will be read on a phone, the long image usually works best, because scrolling a tall picture feels natural there. For a page that will be printed or placed into a document, separate pages are easier to handle and keep each image at a sensible height.
Pros
- Shows the page exactly as it scrolls, with no breaks
- One file to send or attach
- Ideal for design reviews and archived snapshots
Cons
- Very long pages become very tall images
- Some sites and chat apps reduce tall images
- Hard to print without splitting
Getting a complete render
The converter can only draw what the file contains. An .html saved with Webpage, HTML Only keeps the text and structure but loses linked stylesheets and pictures, so the image looks plain. Webpage, Single File in Chrome and Edge saves an .mhtml with everything packed inside, and that renders much closer to the original. Pages that build their content with scripts after loading may also look incomplete.
Resolution at 150 DPI gives a crisp image for screens; pick 300 DPI for print. Quality starts at 85, which keeps text readable. Up to 20 HTML files go in one batch, each up to 95 MB. Uploads are deleted after rendering and the images 30 minutes later. For Word files and slides, use the main Document to Image tool; to make the JPG smaller for an upload form, run it through the Compress Image tool.
Render an HTML file as JPG
Add the HTML file
Drop an .html, .htm or .mhtml file on the box above, or press Choose Files. Up to 20 files fit in one batch.
Check width and layout
The page is drawn 1280 px wide as One long image. Change HTML page width to 390 for a phone view, or pick One per page.
Convert and download
Press Convert to JPG and save the image, or the ZIP if you converted several files.
HTML to JPG questions
Can I enter a URL here instead of uploading an HTML file?
No. This tool renders HTML files you upload. To capture a page from the web, save it in your browser first, ideally as Webpage, Single File (.mhtml) in Chrome or Edge, and then add that file here.
Why are images missing from my rendered page?
A plain .html file usually points to its pictures and stylesheets in a separate folder or on a server. If those files are not part of the upload, they cannot be drawn. Save the page as a single .mhtml file, or use inline images, and they will appear.
What width should I use for a phone-sized screenshot?
Set HTML page width to the width of a phone screen in CSS pixels, for example 390. Responsive pages then switch to their mobile layout, just as they do on a real phone.
Can I turn an HTML email template into an image for a preview?
Yes. Upload the template's .html file and keep the width around 600 to 700 pixels, the width most email designs are built for. The JPG works as a preview in a pitch deck, a portfolio or a ticket.
Why is the JPG of a long page so tall?
With One long image, the whole page is drawn top to bottom in one picture. Very long pages produce very tall images, which some sites reduce in size. Choose One per page to split them into printable pages instead.
Should I choose JPG or PNG for a web page image?
JPG keeps photos and gradients small. PNG keeps text and flat colors sharper and supports a transparent background. For pages that are mostly text and buttons, PNG is often the better pick; change Convert to if so.
