Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and UltConvert Media, the operator of UltConvert, about your use of ultconvert.com, its tools and its processing servers (together, "the service"). By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What the service is
UltConvert offers free online tools that convert, compress, resize, merge, split and otherwise transform files, plus calculators and converters that run in your browser. No account or payment is needed. We decide which tools are offered and may add, change, pause or retire any tool, option or limit at any time, with or without notice.
Each tool page shows the file types it accepts, how many files you can send at once and how large each file may be. Most tools take up to 20 files of up to 95 MB each per batch; some tools set other limits, which are listed on How it works.
2. Who may use it
You must be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data where you live (13 in the United States, up to 16 in parts of Europe), or use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
3. Your files and the results
You keep every right you have in the files you upload and in the files the tools produce. We do not claim ownership of them. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free permission to store, copy and transform each file only as far as needed to run the job you requested and return the result to you. That permission ends when the files are deleted.
Originals are removed once the output exists, and outputs are deleted automatically 30 minutes after processing. The service is not a storage or backup service: download your results promptly and keep your own copies. We are not responsible for a file that was not downloaded in time.
You confirm that you own each file you upload or have the permission of whoever does, and that processing it with the service does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality or any other right of another person. Removing protection from a PDF, for example, is only allowed on documents you are entitled to open and change.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in a way that does not harm it or other people. In particular, you must not:
- upload material that is illegal where you are or where we operate, including child sexual abuse material, content that promotes terrorism, or files obtained in breach of the law;
- upload malware, files built to exploit converters or anything meant to damage, overload or gain access to our systems or other users' data;
- infringe intellectual property, or process personal data about other people without a lawful basis;
- use the tools to forge or alter official documents, identity photos or certificates in order to deceive anyone;
- access the service with bots, scrapers or scripts, call the processing API from outside the website, or work around file, batch or rate limits, verification checks or other technical restrictions;
- resell, rent or offer the service as part of another product, or present it as your own;
- copy, scrape or republish the text, data tables or design of our pages in bulk.
We may refuse, stop or remove a job, and block access from a device or network, when we reasonably believe these rules are being broken or the service is at risk. Where we come across illegal material, we may report it to the competent authorities.
5. Results and information on our pages
Results depend on the file you provide. Compression removes detail, converting between formats can drop features that the target format does not support, and text recognition can misread characters. Check every output before you rely on it, and keep your original.
Pages that describe the photo, document or file-size rules of an agency, institution or platform summarize those rules and link the official source. They are not advice and do not guarantee that a file will be accepted; the Disclaimer explains this in detail.
6. Our content and brand
The UltConvert name and logo, the design of the site, its software and the text, tables and images we publish belong to UltConvert Media or its licensors and are protected by law. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a link back to the source. Anything beyond that requires our written permission. Names and trademarks of other companies, agencies and products are used only to identify them and belong to their owners.
7. Ads, links and third-party services
The service is funded by advertising shown by Google AdSense, and our pages link to official sources and other websites. We do not control third-party sites, ads or services, are not responsible for their content or practices, and an ad or link is not an endorsement. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. How advertising and analytics use data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
8. No warranty
The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, UltConvert Media makes no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, or that any output will meet your requirements or be accepted by a third party.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, UltConvert Media and the people who work for it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, files, opportunities or goodwill, arising from or related to the service, even if we were told such damage was possible. A missed deadline or a rejected application caused by a file you produced with the service is included in this.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to fifty US dollars (USD 50).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
10. Responsibility for your use
To the extent the law allows, you agree to compensate UltConvert Media for claims, losses and reasonable costs brought by others that result from files you upload or from your breach of these terms.
11. Suspension and ending
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access to all or part of it, for everyone or for a particular user, at any time. Sections 3 (the permission and your promises about files), 6, 8, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after your use ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when a tool or the law changes. The new version is posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and applies from that date. If you keep using the service afterwards, the updated terms apply to you; if you do not accept them, stop using the service.
13. General
These terms and the policies they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a provision turns out to be unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a provision straight away does not waive it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor operating the service. Before starting any formal claim, please write to us so we can try to resolve the problem informally.
